Compounded prescriptions cannot be submitted to your insurer at the counter. You get an itemised pharmacy receipt and submit it to your extended health plan or HSA yourself, where many plans reimburse part or all of it. Keep every receipt.

At Beyond Pharmacy, compounded hair loss formulas are listed from $60.75 to $178.45 CAD per fill. Every fill is a 3-month supply, so the topical Trichofoam formulas work out to roughly $40–$60 a month and the oral capsules to roughly $20–$35 a month.
Yes. Each 100 ml pump is dispensed as a 3-month supply based on the standard once-daily application. Your prescriber confirms the directions that apply to you, so your own bottle may last slightly more or less.
Repeats are additional fills already authorised on the same prescription. Because one fill is three months, 8 repeats covers up to two years of refills and 3 repeats covers up to a year. Each repeat is charged at the listed price when it is dispensed — the price on this page is for one fill, not the whole course.
Yes. Every formula on this page is prescription-only. You complete a short online assessment, a licensed practitioner reviews it, and treatment is compounded only if it is appropriate for you. You are not charged for medication that is not prescribed.
The oral capsules are the lower monthly cost; the topical Trichofoam is applied at the scalp rather than taken by mouth. Both are prescribed formats, and which one suits you is a clinical decision made during your review, not a pricing one.
Coverage varies by plan. Compounded prescriptions are sometimes reimbursed when you submit the pharmacy receipt, and some plans exclude them. Your final cost can also change with dispensing fees and product availability.
Nothing here bills you on a schedule. The repeats on your prescription are fills you request, so you decide when to order and how often — order as soon as you run low, or leave it and come back later. If you are on more than one product, each is ordered independently: you can refill one and skip the others, and you are only charged for what you actually order.
The medication prices on this page do not include the practitioner assessment. For Canadian patients with valid MSP coverage — outside Quebec — the assessment fee is waived automatically once your doctor completes the review. Patients in Quebec, those without valid MSP coverage, and patients in the USA pay a $40 private assessment fee. Whatever applies to you is shown before you pay.
